From Feeling Lost to Finding Purpose: Julie Waas Guides Women Through Midlife Reinvention

“Feeling lost in midlife is more common than people admit,” Julie says. “You can spend years doing what’s expected of you, and one day realize it no longer fits. That’s where change begins.”

Julie’s understanding of this transition is deeply personal. As a teenager, she watched her mother struggle with empty nest syndrome after her older sister left home. What began as a short adjustment turned into a longer period of withdrawal and loss of identity.

“It showed me how easy it is to lose yourself in roles,” she says. “I knew I wanted a different path when my time came.”

Years later, she followed through on that intention.

During the COVID pandemic, Julie revisited her long-standing interest in art and launched her own business. Her work quickly gained recognition, with exhibitions across cities including London, New York, Madrid, Innsbruck, and Miami. At the same time, she pursued professional coaching, combining her personal experience with structured tools to support other women.
