With this, the number of Indians who have died after being injured in the October 10 attack has risen to two.
Last month, the Indian Embassy confirmed the death of another Indian national who had sustained injuries in the attack.
The deceased was identified as Mohammed Yusuf Ali, a resident of Hyderabad. His two sons and an aunt were also injured.
Indian Embassy had confirmed 11 nationals injured in Riyadh airport attack
At the time, the embassy had expressed condolences to the family and said it was in touch with them to facilitate the early repatriation of his mortal remains.
Following the attack, the Indian mission had said that 11 Indian nationals were among those injured. It had also confirmed that its officials were in contact with local authorities and hospital officials to enquire about the injured Indians’ condition and extend assistance.
The attack on King Khalid International Airport, located in the Saudi capital, killed 12 people and injured 309 others, according to the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation.
The incident took place amid an exchange of strikes between Yemen’s Houthi group and Saudi Arabia, with major airports among the infrastructure affected.
India had condemned the attack, stating that targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure was unacceptable. It had also called for an immediate cessation of hostilities.
The Indian Embassy said it would continue to support the family of the deceased and assist with arrangements in accordance with their preference.
