Bamboo lifts off in China

Chinese researchers flew a fixed-wing drone with bamboo-based composite wings, showcasing a greener aircraft material.
The drone is over 20 per cent lighter than carbon-fibre models, cuts structural costs by 20 per cent, flies above 100 kmph and can stay airborne for more than an hour.
